Saying Goodbye to Kaya
8thMay 2020 - Tonight Kaya will not sleep in my bad anymore. It is the D day that I feared a lot but I must be strong and reasonable. My little orpan is to be taken by his new mistresses. A friend of mine Martina and her two daughters.
My sweetheart I wish you the best of luck even though the beginning was not flawless. You were fighting with all your strength and you made it. I know that you did it also for your Mum so that she can continue living in you ...

8th week and the last photoshoot
2nd May 2020 - The last posing photoshoot oj Kaya at the age of 8 weeks. I can not say that it went easier than last time. Even though Kaya is 2 weeks older, the cooperation was not easy at all. He does not take after his Mother. Karlyn was a real model in every situation. It is more Dad's genes who does not like showing himself at all.

One of the four puppies who survived the c section and finaly the only one who survived. It is very inteligent and sturdy dog with an equilibrated and tactile nature. And a very good eater as his Mum. Although he is alone, he does not necessarily need an incessant contact with his master. He goes to his bed and plays himself. Our youngest group member Berroo likes to join him and already now it is noticeable that Kaya is capable to gain his respect. As much as he can be calm and play peacefully he can infuriate so much that even Valentina steps out of his way. Generally, it is her who tries to calm him and educate. His future mistress has been attending him for last four weeks and it looks like their life together will be a paradise.

Seven weeks
25th April 2020 - Another day flew fast. Kaya got first vaccination, chipping and received his pet passport. He is ready for his new home. He must wait a bit, he must stay until his nine weeks and I can still enjoy his presence.
As usual I have a layette ready.A sweet soft cover embroidered with our breeding kennel logo, a collar with leash and a lot of toys. Everything in a turquoise colour. First shooting - six weeks gone
18th April 2020 - Pink suits him a lot! A beautiful day inspired us to make the first photo session of our amazing Kaya. It was hard job, as usual in this puppy age. To force this little bundle of fleas stand and pose so that he looks like a whippet is a superhuman performance. If you have ever tried it, you know what I am talking about. We took hundreds of shots and I can use only a few of them. But I have to admit that in these few pictures Kaya looks gorgeous. His incredible fair silver-grey brindle makes him a little plush gem. I also add an indispensable wiegt gain table for 6th week. You can see that Kaya is a good eater, we got over 3 kilos.

Fifth week - discovering the world!
11th April 2020 - There is splendid weather and we spend a lot of time in our garden discovering beauties of this world. Kaya is very careful, does not tempt too much. He examines the lawn bit by bit, noshes flowers, recognises sounds and responds to my call. He follows me everywhere, he is my little follower.
He loves food, he eats everything, mainly meat which he prefers to milk.

First time out. I am 4 weeks already.
4th April 2020 - There are moments when one would just like to stop the time. Or even better reverse it. If somebody offered it to me, I'd accept it immediately and give anything ... And now instead of one orphan there would be ten sweet plushy balls with their amazing mum Karlyn running around the garden.
But I have a baby Kaya and I am thankful for him. The boy grows like a weed and he is just brilliant! He is fearless, calm and so serene.

The third and the last week at the substitute bitch, let us go home then!
28th March 2020 - Eyes are opened, teething ... everything works at tje perfection. Kaya is a laid-back guy and little sausage. No surprise as he has all bitch's tits just for him, eats the whole day and shares with nobody. And the weight gain is visible.

Second week is over ...
21st March 2020 - Kaya has celebrated today 14 days of his life. He will stay a few more days at his substitute mommy and then we will be able to bring him back home. His eyes are smoothly opening and as soon as he stands on his feet and sees well, when he is able to eat alone from a bowl, he will return home and Valentine will take over. I can't wait ...

Our little orphan and great warrior is one week
14th March 2020 - A week flew fast. Our little Kaya is doing well and his substitute mother takes care of him perfectly. He is hidden in her fur whole day drinks her milk that is very important to him in the first days of life. See table below with his weight gain.

11th March 2020 - Our boy is 4 days today and it looks like we have overcome. His substitute mother a bitch, Bolognese dog, accepted him and takes care of him properly.
It is our little heart according to the white spot on his neck that reminds us of a heart.

5th March 2020 - day 59 6th March 2020 - day 60 7th March 2020 - Karlyn died at birth as well as her 9 puppies. Only one male puppy suvived
5th Mach 2020 - Karlyn has entered into her 59th week of pregnancy. The puppie are able to survive so we will see haw long they will stay in mummy!s tummy. Karlyn takes her rest most of time and naps a lot. She only goes out to take some fresh air and immediately returns to her favourite spot. She should slowly start to look for her tranquil birth place but the prepared birth pool in the bedroom does not evoke too much confidence. She chose herself one of the couches in the living room where is no calm. We will see if she wants to give the birth on this couch too which I do not find convenient.

56th day of pregnancy - 8th week
2nd March 2020 - We are smoothly approaching the end of the 8th week of pregnancy. The foetuses grow very fast, they are more than 75% birth size and measure 140 mm. The organs of puppies are already developed. Lungs are the last organ to be developed. The body is covered with hair, the hair is less visible on their paws. Claws are fully developed and the skin pigmentation start to occur. The movements of foetuses are visible and tangible. If the female dog is lying, we can see the foetuses as well. Kalyn relaxes a lot and looks for a convenient birth place. She still has a good appetite.

49th day of pregnancy - 7th week
24th February 2020 - It has been 7 weeks of pregnancy. A fast development of embryos continue. The uterus takes 2/3 of the abdominal cavity. The X-ray shows skeletons of puppies and we can see an exact number of embryos. We count skulls and backbones of puppies which measure approximately 85 mm and average 75% birth size. Hair on the bodies of embryos continue to grow intensively. Karlyn gains weight, a mammary gland gets bigger and the hair on it thins and is falling out. In this period a female can start losing her appetite as embryos push on her inner organs and especially on her digestive system. But it is not Karlyn's case. She still enjoys her food!

42nd day of pregnancy - 6th week
17th February 2020 - Smoothly but surely we are ending the 6th week of pregnancy. It's the period of a very fast fetus development. We can see the first movements on ultrasound. The feti have 30% total birth weight and they measure approximately 65 mm. The sexual system of puppies begin to develop, the ossification of bones continue. We can notice first signs of hair on their heads. Karlyn starts to gain weight, the uterus and the region around ribs get bigger as well. I can also observe a slight enlargement of a mammary gland. The bitch is getting calmer and more vigilant.

35th day of pregnancy - 5th week
10th February - We are in the middle of pregnancy, the embryo turns into the fetus. The fetus resembles a lot a miniatute dog and has approximately 20% birth size. It measures around 27 mm. The shape of the fetus has changed from an egg shape to a round one. All the main organs have already developed and we can see the heartbeat on ultrasound. The scull and jaw ossification are finished, the whiskers begin to grow on the foreface. The toes start to grow, the ossification of nose area, ribs and limb bones is in process. The dead fetus can be reabsorbed by the 35th day, later it leaves as a miscarried litter during the birth.
