4^th May 2025 - Symbolically three months after his birth, the final decision was made that Cusco will remain a member of our family. He was the last to go to his old and new home. He will live near us with my friend Honza and will be in daily contact with our entire pack. Cusco is a truly exceptional dog, both visually and in terms of character. He seems to be an absolute easy-going person. We will prepare him for a show career and in the ring we will gladly entrust him to Zorka, who managed to tame Thor, so Cusco will be completely at ease with her.

I believe that you will make us very happy, Cusco!

5^th April 2025 - Our beautiful Nasca was the third to fly out of the nest. Nasca will remain her name, just like Kailas. The owners of our Eddy from the "E" litter came to get her, so she will live with her relative - her aunt, just like Kailasek. Like most of my offspring, she will live in a house with a garden, which is a priority for me. In addition to her canine friend, she will also have two two-legged girls at home, who will definitely spoil her incredibly. Especially when she looks at them with that look that she knows how to do.

3^dt April 2025 - On Thursday afternoon it was Kailas' turn. My biggest darling from the litter, who gave out kisses wherever he could, will live with his immediate family in Teplice, who are the owners of Loki from the "E" litter. So Kailas will live with his uncle. He will also have a house with a garden, in addition to Loki, many other dog friends, lots of trips together and running around the meadows. I couldn't have wished for a better home for this little guy.

Hopefully we'll see you again soon, my darling!

2^nd April 2025 - Someone always has to be first. This time, the black Petr fell for Rulíček. Our silver beauty is leaving with my veterinary classmate and her boyfriend to Ostrava, where he will live in a house with a garden and lots of dog friends in the area. Rulíček will have a new name "Blue", which really suits him considering his blue-blue color. I am very happy that he will live so close, because we can see each other often. I am very curious to see how he will grow and whether he will remain the biggest of the litter.

Last Photoshoot at the Age of 8 Weeks

 

1^st April 2025 - Last photoshoot of the puppies at the age of eight weeks. It seems that this time the puppies did not inherit the enthusiasm for showing and exhibitionism from their father, but Berroona's dislike for showing. We really struggled. Below are photos of all of them, including a description of the puppy's character, as I managed to observe it during those eight weeks. The entire litter is incredibly balanced in character. They are all fearless, kind and nice.

 

 

February in Cusco Baya Nobles - "KUSÍK"

A relaxed dog with a perfect body and head with an amazing masculine expression and gaze that will win over everyone. He liked to participate in mutual fights between brothers, but somehow within limits. The whole litter is incredibly kind, no one had the need to destroy or bite anything. He liked to just lie in his bed and annoy anyone who was nearby by nibbling. And also a big eater. He was the last one from the litter to stay home with Mesa and they became very friendly.

  

 

 

February in Uluru Baya Nobles   - "RULÍČEK"

Our silver surprise, literally. His color was really unexpected. He was born with the highest birth weight and this lead lasted him the whole time. He is a huge eater. Unlike his siblings, he was a little more whiny, he didn't like a closed playpen. He had a lot of fun outside and liked to start fights with his brothers. But otherwise, he is also a relaxed puppy who quickly adapts to the given situation, like the whole litter.

Kailasek, simply a darling, there's nothing more to write. Since birth, he was a very friendly and sweet dog who gave kisses wherever he could. He seemed very gentle, almost like a bitch, but appearances were deceiving. He knew how to assert himself, he wasn't afraid of anything and there were lots of him everywhere. He was resourceful when playing outside and incredibly fast when running. He will grow up to be a copy of his grandmother Valentina, I see a lot of her in him, simply a beautiful blue-blue whippet with the speed of the wind.

Eight Weeks and Set Sail ...

 

1^st April 2025 - As always, we have our equipment ready at eight weeks, this time in two colors, blue for the boys and pink for the girls. As always, we also took photos of the puppies' postures, which will follow in the next article, along with the characteristics of the individual puppies, as I noted their personalities during the two months of living together.

Even though the weather was quite cold, the kids were happily running around in the garden. They even tried out the sweatshirts that are part of the equipment. It was great fun because they looked like astronauts and almost tore each other's clothes off. So the next few days we hardened ourselves off without clothes so that they would have any left at all. The home cycle does not change at all, they just play, eat and sleep for now. We last clipped their claws and weighed them at 8 weeks, which closed another chapter. Further care will be up to the new owners, who will pick up the puppies in the following days. It went by like water.

Seventh Week Is Here

 

25^th March 2025 - The seventh week is always marked by microchipping, vaccinations and check-ups at the vet. This time is no different and it happened exactly on the seventh week of age. The puppies were exemplary as always, the doctor praised them all a lot and they slept in the carrier for most of the visit to the clinic. Almost all of them didn't even notice the shot of the vaccine and chip. Everyone's hearts are beating like a bell and the boys have testicles where they should be.

This week the weather was like a roller coaster, we had snow for a while, rain for a while and the sun was shining for a while. When it was nice, we spent the whole day outside with the puppies. The little ones really enjoy it and love being outside. It was even worse to keep them at home when it was cold and they couldn't go outside.

 

We took advantage of the rainy days to take photos in the last 6 weeks, but it didn't go so well. But the photo together is great.

Six Weeks - Little Discoverers

 

18. března 2025 - The weather is not very kind to us, it got cold outside and even snowed, so we turned on the fireplace again and our little explorers started exploring the whole house. You would like to write that there are lots of them everywhere, but there aren't. They are incredibly good and calm puppies. Well, I hope they will last until they get to their new homes, but I'm afraid that their hidden temperament will only show up there, and they will show their new owners how active greyhounds are when they want to.

Week five - First Time Outside

 

11^th March 2025 - The weather outside allowed us to explore the big world that awaits the puppies for the first time. They weren't very excited about their first peek outside. It was quite windy outside, so they were just in the hallway by the open door, looking out in disbelief at what was going on. They weren't very excited about it, so, like everything else, they just fell asleep.

The next few days were better. The sun was shining brightly, I had already prepared a playpen for the little ones right on the grass. That was, after the initial embarrassment, a greater success. The grass really excited them and they started grazing. Then they happily jumped around and played with toys and with themselves. However, this euphoria only lasted a moment and, tired, they lay down again in the prepared kennel and slept and slept. Not in the fresh mountain air either.

Solid food now makes up almost 100% of their diet. They save their mother's milk as dessert after meals. Berroonka is already chasing them away herself, because they are like a pack of piranhas and they are quite plundering her teats. The poor thing can only stand it for a while and then she runs away from them. The little ones are already drinking from a standing position, so it is quite easy for her to run away.

Four Weeks - Show Must Go On

 

4^th March 2025 - In the fourth week we always try to do the first photoshoot so that we can introduce the puppies to the world. This time we opted for the classic "sitting poses" because the little ones seemed to be working together beautifully. And they did. Everyone except Rulíček managed it the first time. Rulíček probably didn't have his moment, although he was the first to start moving actively in the playpen and he has enough strength for that. But he simply didn't want to sit for the photoshoot.

As I mentioned last week, their first piece of meat was waiting for them in the meal. As always, very finely ground beef from a young bull with yolk. They tasted great and they ate a lot of it for the first time. So now they have their portion of meat for lunch every day.

Otherwise, they are starting to be very active, their movements are becoming more coordinated, they play nicely with toys, but I must say that compared to previous litters, they are very calm and even lazy and most of all they like to sleep. Of course, they are looking for human company, because mother Berroo is already running away from them and has no intention of playing with them. Their teeth are really like needles. Therefore, it is time for desired visits and cuddling and getting to know the remaining members of the pack at home. Even the weather is on our side, it is sunny and almost spring temperatures, so we will definitely go outside in the coming days and warm their fur.

Three Weeks Old - Discovering the World

 

25^th February 2025 - The content of their three-week puppy life is sleep, sleep and more sleep and then food, food and more food. Now that they have all opened their eyes and started to hear each other, in addition to those two things, they are also starting to be interested in what is happening around them. Their personalities are slowly showing. They have already moved to a larger playpen, because the pool was starting to get small for them and they started to run away from it.

So far I can say that they are all very good. Some are more relaxed, some less, but in general they obviously have no problem with anything. They can even get out of their bed and empty themselves all in one place, so we don't have much trouble with daily maintenance of cleanliness in the playpen.

Slowly they are starting to play together. Well, it's not playing as such, they just nibble on each other's heads and legs. Every now and then they come across a toy that I put in the playpen. It's their first contact with the outside world.

 

Tomorrow they will experience another novelty, their first minced meat from a young bull is being prepared. They will definitely like it, because they are huge eaters and I have to ease mom Berroo a little from feeding her milk, otherwise they will suck it all. We Are Two Weeks Old

 

18^th February 2025 - The time when puppies needed distinctive collars is over. The boys and girls have started to color themselves differently, so we can recognize them even from a distance. Slowly, their individual personalities have started to show, at least the basic ones. They are incredible eaters and you can see it in their weight. They are gaining weight systematically and all of them exceeded 1 kg in their second week of life. I cut their claws for the second time so that they would not scratch their mother Berroo's belly while sucking and they got their first deworming paste. They managed everything with absolute calm and actually in their sleep. Because sleeping is the only thing they do all day, apart from eating. But that will change next week, because their eyes are starting to open. And almost at once, with just a little advance notice, I can tell everyone that our competition for the first eye to open was won by Mesa. Once again, it was confirmed that the smallest of the litter usually open their eyes first.

The Puppies Are One Week Old

 

11^th February 2025 - You can see how quickly time flies with these little creatures. They are already one week old and it feels like they have just been born. Such a small one-week-old puppy doesn't have much to do yet. They just suckle their mother's milk and sleep. In between eating and sleeping, they are slowly starting to scurry around the birthing pool, which is now their home for a while. So far, they are all balanced in weight, gaining about 50g per day on average and are already nice galloping horses. It seems that Berroo has enough quality milk. The first week of a puppy's life always includes the first photo shoot so that she can introduce herself to the world. And when they have their photos, of course they also have their pedigree names. As I wrote below in the article where I introduce the individual puppies, I was inspired by places that are associated with strange phenomena related to aliens in the documentary series 'Ancient Aliens'. The following is an overview of puppies at 4 days old

 

8^th February 2025 - The puppies are doing well. Below I will introduce you to the single puppies in the order they were born. I also list their birth weight and their "operational" names, color markings and names in the pedigree. The puppies were named after mountain ranges and megaliths associated with mysterious phenomena and since they have to start with the letter "F" this time, I used their month of birth in English. So this will be our "February" litter, literally.

28^th January 2025 - We are smoothly approaching the end of the 8^th week of pregnancy. The foetuses grow very fast, they are more than 75% birth size and measure 140 mm. The organs of puppies are already developed. Lungs are the last organ to be developed. The body is covered with hair, the hair is less visible on their paws. Claws are fully developed and the skin pigmentation start to occur. The movements of foetuses are visible and tangible. If the female dog is lying, we can see the foetuses as well. Berroo relaxes a lot and looks for a convenient birth place. She still has a good appetite.

49^th day of pregnancy - 7^th week

21^th January 2025 - It has been 7 weeks of pregnancy. A fast development of embryos continue. The uterus takes 2/3 of the abdominal cavity. The X-ray shows skeletons of puppies and we can see an exact number of embryos. We count skulls and backbones of puppies which measure approximately 85 mm and average 75% birth size. Hair on the bodies of embryos continue to grow intensively. Berroo gains weight, a mammary gland gets bigger and the hair on it thins and is falling out. In this period a female can start losing her appetite as embryos push on her inner organs and especially on her digestive system. But it is not Berroo's case. She still enjoys her food!

42^nd day of pregnancy - 6^th week

14^th January 2025 - Smoothly but surely we are ending the 6^th week of pregnancy. It's the period of a very fast fetus development. We can see the first movements on ultrasound. The feti have 30% total birth weight and they measure approximately 65 mm. The sexual system of puppies begin to develop, the ossification of bones continue. We can notice first signs of hair on their heads. Berroo starts to gain weight, the uterus and the region around ribs get bigger as well. I can also observe a slight enlargement of a mammary gland. The bitch is getting calmer and more vigilant.

35^th day of pregnancy - 5^th week

7^th January 2025 - We are in the middle of pregnancy,  the embryo turns into the fetus. The fetus resembles a lot a miniatute dog and has approximately 20% birth size. It measures around 27 mm. The shape of the fetus has changed from an egg shape to a round one. All the main organs have already developed and we can see the heartbeat on ultrasound. The scull and jaw ossification are finished, the whiskers begin to grow on the foreface. The toes start to grow, the ossification of nose area, ribs and limb bones is in process. The dead fetus can be reabsorbed by the 35^th day, later it leaves as a miscarried litter during the birth.

Berroo's pregnancy was confirmed today!

 

30^th December 2024

The secret of Berroo's belly has been revealed. One rainy December day we set off to nearby Poland for a dog that will make up for the shortcomings of our future mother of litter F with everything he has. His Scandinavian lines from both sides of the pedigree will perfectly complement the bloodlines of our Berro, which, in addition to Scandinavia, also come from the south and their foundations are pure English lines. The father of the litter will be the unbeatable Russian Tsarevich in the show ring.
