16th May 2026 - There are days that cannot be forgotten. Saturday, May 16th, at the English Racing Greyhound Breeders' Club Show will forever be one of them. 105 whippets and a few greyhounds were entered.

An exhibition that I will never miss because it has its own qualities. It is always in a wonderful location and staffed by judges whose opinions and ratings matter to me. This year was no different. The club was held in the grounds of the garden of the beautiful Liblice castle. We didn't miss the opportunity to stay at the castle as well, so we could also admire its interiors and also the kitchen at dinner and in the morning at breakfast.

The judges were two Norwegians, both long-time greyhound breeders and experts in the breed. Greyhounds - both sexes and whippets - males were judged by Mr. Espen Engh and whippets - females by Mr. Åge Gjetnes. The club show was held on Saturday. On Sunday, the Special Show of all greyhounds continued, where both judges switched judging. Since I have newborn puppies at home, I did not register for the Sunday show and immediately after breakfast we rushed home.

I don't really know where to start. Saturday was full of the greatest experiences that breeders and exhibitors can experience. This year I entered our youngest, Cusca and Mesa, at the show. Both in the youth class, and given that Zorka could not go this time, I had to show both cubs myself. It was quite challenging. I ran from one circle to another and tried not to show even a drop of nervousness, so that I could tell Cusco and especially the Mesa warrior to stay calm. Both classes were occupied by a large number of young dogs and bitches. Actually, I don't even know how it happened, suddenly I was standing on the crate in a circle with Cusco and Mesa. And after a while again and again and again until I found myself with the "Best in Show" cockade with Cusco by my side.

The aim of this show was not only to show both young members of the Baya Nobles team, but above all to evaluate them, which took place together with the show. Both were evaluated without any problems with the verdict "Breeding" with standard heights Cusco: 52 and Mesa: 47.5 cm.
