21st March 2026 - It's been about a month and a half since the trainer who primarily works with Mesa and me on dog shows approached me and asked if we wanted to try agility with Mesa. It sounded like science fiction that Mesa, who is afraid of basically everything, and I, who am in such poor shape, should run an agility.
But never say never! After the first training we found out that this is exactly what Mesa needs. And I will adapt and work on my fitness. Our whippet girl is incredibly smart and perceptive, she immediately understood what was wanted of her, and so after less than two months we developed so much that the trainer entered us for agility competitions in the beginners section.
Four runs with minimal mistakes, two race runs without mistakes, all in a hall with lots of strange dogs and people (even men!!!). Very nice cooperation, concentration on work and professionalism brought us a beautiful second place.
