12th October 2025 - After a rainy week, it was unbelievable that on Sunday, the day the long-awaited meeting was scheduled for, it didn't rain and even the sun peeked out in places. We were able to meet on the dam of the Žermanice dam without raincoats and worries about getting wet. We met in good numbers and except for Kaya, the only one from the "B" litter, who unfortunately didn't arrive, all litters were represented on the walk.
So we set off for a walk around the dam, but after a few hundred meters we discovered that the path that winds around the water surface and banks was under reconstruction. After heavy rains, it was impassable in places, full of mud and huge puddles. In short, a completely ideal environment for a walk for us two-legged friends, but especially our beloved whippets. However, the four-legged friends, being teased, overcame the huge puddles with their own grace and dragged us two-legged friends to muddy islands that alternated with slag-strewn places on the already repaired path. We were not very successful in trying to escape from these pitfalls of the repaired path onto the grassy banks that line the beaches of the dam. As I wrote above, it had been raining for a week, so the lawn was almost in the same condition as the dug-up path.
But none of this deterred us. We arrived at the planned place for a joint photo shoot and took some nice group photos.
